Saving the Planet One Yard at a Time

Lisa’s List of Services

PLEASE NOTE***Most consult and design services are now primarily online due to Covid***

Educational Landscape: 30 minutes of Zoom in addition to a complete write up, plant list, instructions and photos examples.
Consultations/Landscape Coaching:
Here is an area of some confusion and I want to be very clear..EVERYONE WHO OWNS A HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE OF THESE!
An educational consultation with a trained, educated professional is an opportunity for you to discuss landscape problems, organic gardening, tree, shrub and plant care. Vegetable gardening, fruit tree care and selection, soil preparation, proper trimming techniques, necessary tools and so much more will be covered during an Educational Consultation or Garden Coach session. ***This service is now primarily online through Zoom for $225, in person consults start at $295 for a 30 minute walk through and follow up write-up which includes a basic concept sketch without plants. (below)

This is an excellent tool for the do-it-yourselfer or anyone wanting to bid out the work to be done. I am not here to sell you my services, I am here to educate and train you to be a better steward of your land, which in turn makes you a smarter consumer and that saves you money.

Here are just “some” of the creative solutions I’ve provided through my 18 years in the Central Texas landscape.

Our time on Zoom can also be used for a design/Sketch session, I will ask for some basic measurements and light schedule and I will draw your beds out for you for one low price. This is perfect for people with small builders beds or spaces where the beds just need to be filled in. The sketch and key are very easy to follow and contain a list of plants. There is an additional fee for this service, generally not more than $150-$200 on top of the consult fee when needed.

I provide design influenced education, with a low water, low maintenance approach. My online educational consultation is $225 for 30 minutes of zoom time followed up by a write up, a concept sketch if applicable, a plant list for you to choose from and a wealth of information and instructions. In person consultation starts at $295 and my circle has gotten smaller through Covid.

I provide educational Landscape Consult/Garden Coach and Design services Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Landscape Design: I am a Certified landscape designer, Master Gardener and lifetime artist. However, my best experience has been in the field for over 20 years. Just because someone knows design does not mean they know the plants they are using because that knowledge only comes with experience. I believe my greatest strength is my vast knowledge of plants in their habitat. You cannot design successfully if you do not know the growth habits of each plant you are using and that only comes from being a gardener. I have been a professional Personal Gardener as well as gardening in my own space for over 20 years in Central Texas and that experience has taught me that just because a plant looks good on paper does not mean it looks good 5 years from now in your garden. Spacial challenges, long-term light conditions, soil and water conditions all have to be considered as well as the care the owner wants to put into a bed. One of the most important qualities of a designer is to be a good listener, it is also important to be honest with the client to manage their expectations, and sometimes what they believe they want may not be what they need.

If you are not successful in your space I have not done my job correctly. I believe it is important to give you a design that suits your lifestyle and the time you have to manage it. Your garden should work for you, not the other way around. With your design you get a scaled drawing, an original and follow-up consultation, a full plant bid for installation and instruction for the do-it-yourselfer. Typical cost of a design for an smaller space is $750 front and back but most average between $1000 and $1500. I provide online designs to the greater Austin area including Onion Creek, Buda, San Marcos, Wimberly, Bastrop, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Pflugerville and Round Rock, or anyone in hardiness zone 8 a/b. I look forward to hearing from you 🙂

Landscape Layout/Plant Plopper service : *Please Note; LL&D no longer has our own crew for installation services, but I can provide a layout service for plant installation by either a trusted contractor of mine, someone you prefer to work with, or to do-it- yourself. This is an excellent accompaniment to our Consults/Garden Coach and Design services in the Austin and surrounding area and has been a hugely popular service. Minimum sale of $500 required, plus the cost of first consultation. Average plant cost is $12-14.50 per one gal and 35+ for 3 gallon and greater. Delivery fee included.
