Lisa’s List of Services

IMG_2880

I’ve been providing Landscape Designs and Consultations for over 20 years in Austin and the surrounding area. Allow me to use my experience as an installer, project manager, plant specialist and water conservationist to teach you to make the most of your land. My list of services empower you to get started in the right direction for success.

Online Educational Consultation

$225 for 40 minutes of Zoom in addition to a complete write-up, an educated plant list, instructions and material examples as well as email coaching along the way.

In Person Educational Consultation

$295-$350+ for a 30 minute on property tour, followed up with concept sketches, an educated plant list and general information and instructions as well as email coaching along the way.

Consultations/Landscape Coaching: Here is an area of some confusion and I want to be very clear..EVERYONE WHO OWNS A HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE OF THESE!
Rather it’s online or in person, an educational consultation with a trained, educated professional is an opportunity for you to discuss landscape problems, organic gardening, tree, shrub and plant care.

We can also cover vegetable gardening, fruit tree care and selection, soil preparation, proper trimming techniques, necessary tools and so much more.

This is an excellent tool for the do-it-yourselfer or anyone wanting to bid out the work to be done. I am not here to sell you my services, I am here to educate and train you to be a better steward of your land, which in turn makes you a smarter consumer and that saves you money.

Examples of My Work

Here are just “some” of the creative solutions I’ve provided through my 20 years in the Central Texas landscape.

If at any time during our consult you determine that you’d be better served by a full landscape design, the fee will be converted towards the final cost.

I provide educational Landscape Consult/Garden Coach and Design services Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Landscape Design

I am a Certified landscape designer, Master Gardener and lifetime artist.
However, my best experience has been in the field for over 20 years. Just because someone knows design does not mean they know the plants they are using, because that knowledge only comes with experience.

I believe my greatest strength is my vast knowledge of plants in their habitat. You cannot design successfully if you do not know the growth pattern of the plants and trees you’re using.

Spacial challenges, long-term light conditions, soil and water conditions all have to be considered as well as the care and time the owner wants to put into a landscape.

One of the most important qualities of a designer is to be a good listener, it is also important to be honest with the client to manage their expectations, and sometimes what they believe they want may not be what they need so I focus on education.

Your garden should work for you, not the other way around.
With a full Design, you get a scaled drawing, a consultation, a list of plants and sizes for purchasing and instruction for the do-it-yourselfer.

Typical cost of a full landscape design for builders beds range from $375-$500, smaller spaces can start at $750 front and back, but most average yards range between $1000 and $1500.

I also provide online designs to the greater Austin area including Onion Creek, Buda, San Marcos, Wimberly, Bastrop, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Pflugerville and Round Rock, or anyone in hardiness zone 8 a/b.

Landscape Layout/Plant Plopper service : *Please Note; LL&D no longer has our own crew for installation services, but I can provide a layout service for plant installation by either yourself or a hired contractor. This is an excellent accompaniment to our Consults/Garden Coach and Design services in the Austin and surrounding area and has been a hugely popular service. Minimum sale of $500 required, plus the cost of first consultation. Average plant cost is $12-14.50 per one gal and 35+ for 3 gallon and greater.
